Born Edward Lain Blackman, Eddie Lain was raised in the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles. Eddie moved to San Diego to attend UCSD. While there, Eddie majored in medicine and minored in photography. During the time while at UCSD, Eddie participated as talent in several modeling and film productions and later went on to be the producer of fashion shows, music television shows, and fundraising events for several organizations and secured sponsors for those productions. He was then hired by one of his primary sponsors and became the Special Events Marketing Coordinator for Family Fitness Centers and subsequently 24 Hour Fitness for a 15 year run. Simultaneously, Eddie developed and produced several music television shows (RockNSan Diego, California Nights, SoCal Showcase) fashion shows, concerts, and charity balls. During one of the charity balls, the owner of a chain of restaurants and night clubs "discovered" Eddie and offered him the opportunity to run the entertainment and marketing for a region of his growing chain. The Red Onion became an incredible learning experience for Eddie and he went on to open several other night clubs. During this time, Eddie also supported the local film, music and fashion industry, participating at various levels with local TV show and movie production companies in addition to some fashion and print modeling production companies. Eddie went on to help open an acting and talent development agency in San Diego and produced several "casting events" bringing LA production companies to San Diego to cast the local talent in their productions in large career-fair like events for the talent industry. Eddie taught acting and helped new talent gain the tools and learn the skills to break into the industry. Eddie co-created and was the editor for a tourist magazine known as What's Here Magazine as well as to co-host the accompanying in-room TV show known as What's Here TV. Now, Eddie owns several businesses under the brands that include VisionPulse Creative, LainScapes Fine Art Photography, BucketList Adventure Club, and the Smokin' Hot Vixens brand ambassador team. Eddie continues to maintain a passion for supporting the music and filmmaking community. He produces red carpet events, fundraising parties, and conducting photo and film tours around the world via a program he developed that combines filmmaking with his wholesale adventure company to produce short films shot in exotic locations around the world. Thus, making it incredibly affordable to filmmakers and wanna-be's to travel to these amazing destinations while also offering a monetization vehicle for the filmmakers themselves. Eddie is co-producer, writer and actor in a pilot TV show called "Shooters" that spotlights the behind the scenes antics of filmmakers and photographers.
