Erik Estrada like many young starting actors knew from a very young age that the performance stage was where he was supposed to be. Erik recalls a moment in his childhood when singing "Un Indio Quiere Llorrar" and bursting into tears on stage after forgetting the lyrics. While being confused and embarrassed by his mistake, he felt a bitter sweet love about being on stage. Right there and then he knew that the performing bug had bit him, and real good. Although for a moment in his life, he began to feel comfortable with the idea of living an orthodox life style. While in high school he wanted to follow up the career of a police officer and during and after his high school career, he took up a few years of training. But, in the back of his mind Erik knew what his real passion was, and decided that the stage and being in front of the cameras was where he belonged. His motivation was his family and faith. Coming from immigrant parents who have supported him in all his undertakings, he knew that he had no choice but to strive for his long life dream. So he moved to Los Angeles in 2010 and began his acting studies at the Joanne Barron/D.W Brown studio. Soon after his talent and charm began to sprout and he began booking commercial for companies like Freeway Insurance, Valvoline and GoDaddy.com to name a few. Yet, the turning point of his career was when he landed his first leading role in the comedic feature film "Lola's Love Shack" with in less than a year living in Los Angeles. Since then, he continues to audition and work as much as possible. Erik's strong faith has pushed him to thrive for success and help those who have been there for him from the very start. He also hopes that his accomplishments can someday flourish into something great which he can share with his loving and supportive parents.
