Nzinga Moore is an award winning actor. Born and raised in Oakland, California, she has proven to be a powerhouse on stage winning a Denver Post Ovation Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama as Lady in Blue in 'For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow Is Enuf.' In addition, Moore earned an Outstanding Featured Actress Theatre Tampa Bay Award nomination for her latest role as Mayme in 'Intimate Apparel.' Her most notable roles also include Lady Anne, Maggie the Cat, Kate in 'Good People,' and Susan in 'Race. Moore not only excels on stage, but on screen as well. She appeared in a national commercial for Gatorade in which she displays her active side and love for running. As for the funny, Moore is currently writing her own series, "How Worse Can It Get," where fans can expect to see her in outrageous and hilariously unpredictable scenarios. Whether it's comedy or drama, Moore is motivated by projects that challenge expectations and push boundaries. She has been performing for as long as she can remember and honed her passion for play when she was awarded acceptance into the prestigious National Theatre Conservatory. While earning her MFA, she learned to harness, develop, and apply her creativity, imagination, and love of story telling. Moore not only learned the art of traditional acting, but also low flying trapeze, improv, ballroom dancing, and vocal performance. After graduating, she continued to sharpen her skills performing with BATS Improv, the oldest San Francisco based improv troupe. Moore recently relocated to Los Angeles, California and looks forward to what the future holds, enjoying the LA sun and eating her fruits and veggies.
