Nancy is a highly educated actor, teacher, volunteer firefighter, and martial artist. Being an army brat, she grew up always being the new kid on the block. She nurtured a deep sense of empathy thanks to her differently-abled sister. These two experiences allowed her to always be 'on' and helped her develop a strong desire to perform. Intent on living her dream, Nancy attended the Vancouver Film School (VFS) and graduated with a Certificate of Acting for Film and Television. Subsequently, she completed a couple of Bachelor's Degrees and then a Master's of Arts in Education. Nancy has been a high-school English, Math, and Spanish teacher. In addition, Nancy has trained in Shotokan karate since 1995. She currently holds a Second Degree Black Belt and is an expert in Self-Defense and personnel security. She has also been a Certified NCCP Karate Coach since 2007. Karate has taught Nancy discipline and stick-to-itness as well as has allowed her to flex her positive female role model muscle. Flash forward about 20 years after VFS, Nancy moved to a small, rural town with her little family of 3. That's where the momentum for her acting career really started to build. She acted in various community theatre productions and then landed the title role of Eliza Doolittle in Winding Rivers Arts and Performance Society's rendition of My Fair Lady. Shortly after, thanks to her rave reviews, Nancy was offered her first credited film role in Juggernaut. Nancy is currently a working actor who is super excited about the industry boom in the Okanagan. She is also eager to branch out into the DC Universe television market in Vancouver.
