N. Shankar is an Indian Film Director, known for his tremendous works in Telugu Film Industry. He is a well renowned Telugu Film Director who has proven as a creative director and has made numerous remarkable Movies with heartening humanistic standards. He is well-thought-out as one of the most creative directors with a great taste for music and has more than one and half decade's expertise in Telugu movie industry. With great years of experience in Tollywood, he strongly feels that the artists from Telangana region in specific lack proper representation in Telugu film industry. Henceforth, he directed and produced Jai Bholo Telangana (2011), exceptional awareness with the Telangana Movement as the backdrop which gained him film accolades and also Best Director award from State. His movie Jai Bolo Telangana (2011) is renowned as a powerful tool that backed significantly to the separate Telangana movement. The movie's reach and impact of its songs and representation touched many hearts through the state. The film attested to be an inspirational point for several students and their mothers. This movie will be remembered as one of the highest torch bearer of the Telangana movements. N. Shankar hails from a normal middle class family belonging to backward caste in Nalgonda district of Telangana state. He is a fervent young man with active student political life allied with student movements as a learner. With the impact of actor Dr. M. Prabhakar Reddy, N. Shankar selected to come in to film industry. He started his career as an assistant director and rapidly rose to be the most sought after co-director. From topmost directors like A. Kodandaramireddy to Super star Krishna trusted him with their movies. Apart from being a man with philosophical background, he also became most dedicated worker in a short span of time.

Nimmi was born on February 18, 1933 in Agra, United Provinces of Agra and Oudh, British India (now Uttar Pradesh, India). She is known for Arpan (1957), Barsaat (1949) and Alif-Laila (1953). She was married to S. Ali Raza. She died on March 25, 2020 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.

Nimmi Harasgama is a British-Sri Lankan award winning actor and writer. In May 2021 Nimmi was nominated for best "Drama Performance" by the British National Television Awards for her portrayal of series regular Nurse Mari on The Good Karma Hospital (ITV). In 2020 Nimmi played the female lead, Amma/Nalini, in Deepa Mehta's film Funny Boy. Nimmi acts in English, Sinhala, and Tamil. Her performance in the Sinhala film August Sun won her the Best Actress award at the Las Palmas International Film Festival and the Vishwa Keerthi, the highest arts award in Sri Lanka. She was the lead in the Tamil short I Too Have A Name, which was in competition at the Berlin International Film Festival. Nimmi plays series regular, Nurse Mari, on The Good Karma Hospital which is set to film its fourth series in 2021. She can also be seen in the Netflix series Requiem as Detective Alice Brenton. In British Indie film Hello Darling Nimmi she plays Aanya. The film has won numerous Best Film awards internationally. Nimmi began her career in theatre. Her last theatre appearance was as the Snow Queen in the West End production of The Snow Queen. Nimmi has written all her life but her first published/performed work was commissioned by UK theatre company Tamasha. Auntie Netta's Holiday For Asylum was a one woman show based on her YouTube character Auntie Netta. The show premiered at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Her play 'My Homemade Kite' was part of Kali Theatre's (UK) 'Women In War' Series and had a rehearsed reading at Tristan Bates Theatre. She is currently in development to have a full production both in the UK and the US. Her TV show Brown Girl Panic has been optioned by Blue Bear Production Company and recently had a rehearsed reading commissioned by SKY TV (UK). She is also a story consultant and writer for an animated series that is in development by Blue Bear Productions. Nimmi is co-writing a screenplay based on an Indian novel for GURU productions. Her most recent character, Brûlée, a parody of social media influencers, has taken Sri Lankan Instagram by storm. Brûlée joins Auntie Netta, Nimmi's longtime YouTube character who was reborn during the 80 days of 24/7 COVID-19 curfew her family experienced in Sri Lanka. Auntie Netta became a Goodwill Ambassador for WHO's Sri Lanka's campaign on educating people about COVID-19 safety during that time. Nimmi is a committed for Human Rights advocate. She has a BA in Drama and Theatre Arts from Goldsmiths College (University of London). She trained at Groundlings Improv School and Lesly Kahn & Co Drama School in LA. and the New York Film Academy in NYC. During and after the war in Sri Lanka, Nimmi utilized her training with John Martin (Pan Intercultural Arts) and Augusto Boal (Theatre for the Oppressed) in her work with war and tsunami affected children and young adults. These projects were located in the North and East and were conducted through the British Council and Save The Children. She has also worked with young adult refugees In the UK through Pan Intercultural Arts. Much of Nimmi's writing has to do with her own experiences of being an immigrant and her work with refugees.
