Olivia Castanho is an American actress who was born and raised in South Windsor, Connecticut. She started acting in local theatre at the age of 6 and continued throughout her teenage years until moving to Los Angeles when she was 18. She studied acting in the University of Southern California's BFA program, where she won the prestigious Jack Nicholson award for outstanding performances in her junior year. After graduating, she landed the leading role of Emmy in the indie horror flick "Headshots," then starred in the short film "Don't Blow It" for which she and her costar won Best Duo of the Year at the Top Shorts Film Festival. Olivia plays a middle class girl from Brooklyn who experiences the murder of her older brother and witnesses her mother seeking revenge to whomever killed him. Olivia is Bella Dia (second lead) in independent feature film "Hitter Twist". An Italian teenage girl from New Jersey who attends a HS for the performing arts in NYC and gets caught up with a fast crowd that brings her into a life of diamond smuggling which allowed the filming crew to shoot some of the scenes in Italy. Just recently Olivia wrapped indie feature film "The Ruggieros" where she plays a lead character in this satirical comedy about a traditional New York Italian American family over Thanksgiving weekend. In addition to film, TV and commercial credits Olivia has been singing since age 6.
