Osamah Sami
Osamah Sami is an award-winning actor, writer, and comedian, born in war-torn Iran to Iraqi parents. His critically acclaimed memoir Good Muslim Boy was the winner of the NSW Premier's Literary Award and Highly Commended at the Victorian Premier's Literary Awards. It was also adapted for the stage in 2018 for Malthouse Theatre Company and Queensland Theatre, selling out both seasons. Osamah also co-wrote and starred in the hit Australian film Ali's Wedding, which was the winner of the Audience Award for Best Feature Film at Sydney Film Festival, as well as The Age Critics Prize for Best Australian Film, and the Cinéfest Oz Prize for Best Film. His screenplay earned him an Australian Academy (AACTA) Award, an Australian Writers Guild (AWGIE) Award, and a Film Critics Circle of Australia (FCCA) Award for Best Screenplay. He also received AACTA Award, FCCA Award, and Australian Critics Choice Award nominations for Best Lead Actor. In 2016, his work in Melbourne Theatre Company's I Call My Brothers earned him a Green Room Award nomination for Best Lead Actor on a Main Stage production. He was also a jury member of the 7th International Persian Film Festival, and a judge on the 2020 AWGIES Awards, as well as the NSW State Library Literary Awards. Osamah has appeared in Melbourne Writers Fest, Sydney Writers Fest, Perth International Arts Festival, Ubud Writers & Readers Festival, and Shanghai Literary Festival. Osamah is a dual winner of Creative Artist of the Year at the Australian Muslim Achievement Awards, and is also recognized as a 'Notable Australian Muslim' by the Commonwealth of Australia.
Osamu Adachi
Adachi is part of the Watanabe Entertainment group named D-Boys. As a member of the D-Boys, Adachi also keeps a blog, which he updates occasionally and includes a personal video greeting from Adachi. Being a part of the D-Boys provided Adachi with a lot of opportunities. Among them was to perform with the group of boys and expand his experience as a performer.The D-Boys so far have released two Photobooks. The first photo-book released on April 27, 2005 was self-titled D-Boys, while the second, released on March 15th, 2006 was called Start, both which contain many photos of Adachi. Adachi has starred in a various number of TV shows. He's also appeared in Glay's "White Road" music video. Adachi was also apart of the Watanabe net drama, Hice Cool (2005), appearing alongside fellow D-Boy members, Yanagi Kotarou, Endou Yuuya, and Yu Shirota. Adachi won the role of Eiji Kikumaru, the acrobatic 3rd year regular of Seigaku Middle School's tennis club. And from 2005 to 2006, he became the third actor to play Eiji in the The Prince of Tennis Musicals. On March 29th, 2006, in the Dream Live 3rd Live concert, he along with the majority of the Seigaku cast, graduated from their roles. Adachi was able to carry on his role as Eiji Kikumaru from the musicals to the live-adaptation film, Tennis no oujisama (2006), of the anime/manga series, _"Tennis no oujisama" (2001)_. He, along with most of the principle cast members for the Seigaku Regulars, were able to reprise their roles for the movie. Adachi currently stars as Akira Sakamoto in the live action TV drama based on the anime/manga Princess Princess series entitled, Princess Princess D, which premiered in Japan on June 28th, 2006. He's also starring in the TV drama, My Boss My Hero, as the character, Shinichi Maki.
