Ross Leyshon was born in Neath and raised in Ystradgynlais, Swansea, in the country of South Wales. His parents, Rose and Esmond Leyshon, met working together in the Steel Works of Port Talbot, Wales. Ross was introduced to film at a young age, his first memory being of seeing Disney's 'The Lion King' at the cinema. He secretly wanted to act from a young age but lacked the confidence to do so. While studying Interactive Media back in 2017, he performed and acted for a photo shoot for a comic book, acting to be scared of dinosaurs. His media lecturer, Chris Jones, noticed the enjoyment Ross had and suggested he should start studying Acting and Drama. Ross just accepted it and was able to get on A level Drama studies the next year. "My first drama lesson in college, we had homework to do over the next few days, for the first time in my life, I did it on the night! That was a sign..." He went on to the Atrium University of Glamorgan (the last year before it was changed to University of South Wales) to obtain a BA degree in Drama (Theatre and Media). He played the main villain of The Philistine' in his debut feature film 'Anhedonia' in 2019.
