Verna Aldridge Brown is an American born actress in Memphis, TN. Ms. Aldridge Brown was born in Memphis, Tennessee and lived in the North Memphis community of New Chicago. Her truck driver father and homemaker mother were loving parents. She spent most of her teen years trying to keep up with her older musician brothers who taught her to play the drums and bass guitar. Verna attended Manassas High School, graduated from Northside High where she was a member of the Thespian society. . She attended Rose State College majoring in Communications. Verna has had extensive drama training from Al Bostick, Arts Director of the "Black Liberated Arts Center", in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Drama coaches includes Actor, Director Chuck Patterson of the Five Heart Beats, Actor, Screenwriter, Director Ted Lange of The Love Boat, Artistic, Directors of The Blues City Cultural Ctr. Etc. For more than two decades Verna has been cast extensively in many national, regional and local commercials. Just to name a few, Kemmons Wilson Homes, Arkansas Blue Cross Blue Shield, Baptist Hospital, Methodist Hospital, Robert Irwin Jewelers, Hancock Fabrics, Tennessee Tourism, Goldstrike Casino, etc. She has performed in film & TV. Most recently she was catted in a made for TV Series Pilot (Entitled) in Post Production. Verna has been catted in 3 Fatal Attraction Episodes, Runaway Love, Blazing Betrayal & Shelter By Evil. Also, Indie award winning Short film," The Little Death". Aldridge-Brown co-hosted, "The Gospel Train Show", which aired every Sunday evening on the BET Network.
