With a father who is a popular underground author and a mother who is a professional storyteller, it was inevitable that Xandy's childhood led to an interest in the arts. He has proven his versatility in many forms of filmmaking across a range of formats, genres, and budgets, particularly commercials. Much of Xandy's success in commercials stems from his interest in narrative filmmaking and his passion for working closely with actors. He understands the importance of telling a story and has spent years with highly regarded acting coaches to strengthen that trait. Using his work in music videos as a springboard, Xandy welcomes the chance to experiment with new tools and visual styles. A graduate of NYU's Tisch School of the Arts Dramatic Writing program with a dual BFA in screenwriting and television writing, Xandy has worked as a feature producer, story producer, animation writer and more recently director. Xandy is the daughter of multiple Clio award winning commercial producer David Sussan, and as such, she appeared in many commercials and advertisements as a child.
