Athar represented his state in cricket for BDM club. Won silver and bronze medals consecutively for 2 year in Shot-Put, Discuss Throw, Relay Race and Tug Of War representing Uttar Pradesh Universities. Being an Athlete , Theatre Artist ,Swimmer ,Skater and a Singer Who is always ready to Learn New Skills. Always had a dream to be someday like Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt but father as an engineer forced him to pursue engineering for better future. In 2010, he pursued a career in modelling and participated in the Mr. Meerut contest and won the award of the "Most charming face " and won the title of Mr Meerut, later on he won Mr UP title in 2010, Participated in India super model, walked for Wills India fashion week, Provouge, Pantaloons, and many more. He appeared in more than 50 TV commercials few among them are- Royal stag with SRK, Rajnigandha with Priyanka Chopra, Intex phone with Farhaan Akhtar, Samsung Galaxy Tab, Tiger Balm, Bingo Yumitos, Endura Mass Advertisements, Mahindra bolero, Ambuja Cement. . As a talented anchor he has done several shows for Best Deal Tv And HBN India. He appeared in a popular music video "Wedding Da Season" with Shilpa Shetty, Neha Kakkar and Mika Singh.
