Bobby Naderi
Bobby Naderi was born in Tehran during the Iran/Iraq war, his youth consisted of a refugee/gypsy upbringing due to the political unrest in the region. In search of safety and a better life, he and his mother fled to Turkey, after a few years of trying to get asylum Canada finally granted them the status. Raised by his mother an artist herself Bobby found his way into the arts in his early 20s. Early on acclaimed director, Nina Menkes cast him opposite Israeli star Marina Shoif in Arthouse Sundance film Phantom Love which led to a string of starring roles which included Sundance hits The Taqwacores and the sensational Sundance/Netflix film Under the Shadow. In addition to winning three BIFA's and a BAFTA it was also the UK's 2017 Foreign Oscar entry. With recurring stints on Shows like AMC's Fear The Walking Dead and FOX's Prison Break season 5 Bobby continues to work in Film/TV on different projects including repeat collaborations with David Ayer on the Netflix tent-pole franchise Bright opposite Will Smith and FOX's Deputy opposite Stephen Dorff. In early 2020 Bobby Naderi has signed on to star in the second season of acclaimed Netflix series Black Summer.
