Brittany Mayti
Brittany Mayti was born in Cleveland, Ohio. Mayti knew she wanted to be an actress from a very young age. She got her first taste of the theater at age 11 in the stage play "Ultimus Veneficus" at the legendary Cleveland Playhouse. This experience solidified her professional goals. Always an exceptional student, Mayti's mother insisted that she complete her post-secondary education prior to making the big move to "Hollywood". She continued to seek out opportunities to perfect her craft. While she attended Kent State University she participated in student productions in the African Community Theatre under the direction of Dr. Fran Dorsey. Two months after graduating she headed right to L.A.
Since then, she has been featured in several television and film productions. In the midst of attending acting classes and workshops Mayti obtained her MBA with a concentration in Marketing. She has also had the opportunity to learn the business from behind the camera. Mayti started out as a Production Assistant and has worked as a Production Coordinator and Production Manager. She co-produced a short film named "Binky" for Stephen David Brooks that has won several awards and screened at Cannes. She has also produced his latest award winning film "Flytrap".
Mayti was nominated for Best Actress for the 2015 MPAH Haiti Movie Awards for her starring role in the film "The Heartbreaker's Revenge" (also known as Ex Games) which premiered in Haiti. She was also nominated as Best Actress in leading role Diaspora film for the Nollywood & African Film Critics' Awards (NAFCA), which is also widely referred to as the "African Oscars."
Mayti has had the opportunity to perform in several stage plays, under the direction of Don B. Welch, Tai French, Wallace Demarria, and Jaimyon Parker to name a few. You can also see her on P.I.N.K. Method's national infomercial discussing her recent weight loss and motivating others to get and stay healthy. Mayti is a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
