Ed Fraiman
Ed Fraiman is a British filmmaker who won the Directors' Guild of Great Britain Best Newcomer Award. He learned his craft at the Polish State Film School in Lodz. He has since directed more than 70 episodes of Television in the US and UK for Warner Bros, Universal Pictures, BBC and Channel 4.
Recently, Ed directed (and executive produced) 'Anaconda' the spin-off/embedded pilot for the Warner Brothers' hit show 'The 100' on CW Network. Ed was the producing director on 29 episodes of the series, directing and/or producing over a third of the 100 episodes across 7 seasons.
Prior to his work on 'The 100', Ed was the producing director on Season 1 of 'Impulse' for Universal Pictures and YouTube Red. Other producing director credits include 'Secret State' starring Gabriel Byrne and Charles Dance for Channel 4. Ed directed and executive produced all episodes of the mini-series, which was nominated for an International Emmy and sold to over 40 territories worldwide.
Ed's US television director credits include 5 episodes of UCP's 'Royal Pains' for USA network, 4 episodes of CBS/Paramount's 'Life Is Wild' for CW Network and Universal's 'The Philanthropist' for NBC. Ed also directed 3 episodes of the Arthurian drama 'Merlin' for NBC and BBC.
UK television credits include directing the award winning procedural 'Murphy's Law' (BBC), 'A Thing Called Love' (BBC), 'Burn It' (BBC) and the critically acclaimed 'As If' (CH4). Ed also directed the TV movie adaptation of 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' (BBC) which was nominated at the World Television Awards for Best Movie Made For Television.
Ed is a partner at Bigscope Films UK where he has executive produced 5 feature films including 'Don't Hang Up', 'Pressure', 'Alien Outpost' and most recently 'The Banishing' and 'Aasha The Street Dog' which are both in post-production.
Ed is a dual British and American citizen and resides with his family in Santa Monica. He is represented by the Verve Talent and Literary Agency.
