Jake Jecmenek
Jake Jecmenek was born in Taylor, Texas. His family moved to the south side of San Antonio when he was two years old and remained there until he graduated from McCollum High School. He grew up riding horses and bikes all over the southern half of Bexar County. He participated in plays in Middle School and High School where he studied journalism, speech and drama. He never went in show business after high school. Over the years he was a truck driver, security guard, mine laborer, bouncer, beer salesman, lion trainer, bouncer, working cowboy, private investigator, car show promoter, gas comptroller, jailer, custom truck builder, fence company owner, bodyguard, cook, and brand ambassador. While looking for auditions for his granddaughter, Jake ran across an audition for someone to play a struggling rancher who has to sell his ranch and then gets hired to run the ranch for the new owner. He felt it was a natural fit and after taking two selfies, he submitted for the role. He was given an audition time and subsequently nailed the audition. The acting bug bit Jake in the but and he has been going non-stop ever since. Starting with uncredited background gigs in Friday Night Lights, Prison Break and others, he also worked on many student short films. 2007 brought him to independent films where he started working primarily with Ponderous Productions, both in front of and behind the camera, eventually earning him a 7% ownership of the company. Jake went on to speaking lines in the movie Parkland and becoming SAG-AFTRA eligible. He continues to act, perform stunts, and work behind the scenes. He rents police vehicles and cop props to lower budget productions while being an ACE problem solver on many productions.
