Mark Bogatyryov
Mark Bogatyrev (born December 22, 1984) is a Russian actor, best known for his role as Maxim Lavrov in the television series Kuchnya.
Born and raised in the city of Obninsk to a single mother, his childhood was particularly difficult; His mother spent little to no time for his upbringing and his father left the family while Mark was still little. Instead, his grandmother took it upon her self to raise the young man. During the turbulent 1990s, he worked through a series of odd jobs such as being a security guard, construction worker, driver and an administrator in a computer club in order to support himself and his grandmother.
After graduating high school, Mark entered the Obninsk Institute for Nuclear Power Engineering and at the same time, he attended and played in the local theater nearby. During his third year in university, Mark was selected for the lead role in the movie "Nenasytnye" which was released in 2006. It was during this time when Mark decided that acting rather than engineering was his true calling, and as a result, he dropped out of university and entered the Moscow Art Theatre School to further his ambition of becoming an actor. He eventually graduated from the school in 2010.
Since then, Bogatyrev has acted in a number of plays, television shows and movies.
