Nauheed Cyrusi
Nauheed Cyrusi was born in Bombay, India. Her name means 'Venus'; she has a sister, a dog named Satch, and comes from a non-filmy background. The Cyrusi family live near Podar College, South Mumbai.
After completing her Secondary School Certificate from J.B. Vacha School, she enrolled at Sind Educationist Association's Jai Hind College and Basant Singh Institute of Science and Technology, Churchgate, Bombay, and after graduating from this University-affiliated college, she pursued M.Com. through correspondence.
She had wanted a career as an Air Hostess, but after modeling for three years, she decided to stick with showbiz and appeared in numerous TV commercials as well as print media. Not exactly a stranger to modeling, she had already appeared in print media for Dhara Oil at the age of 14 while still in school.
Although she did attain a level of popularity with TV advertisements, and a music video 'Piya Basanti' her tryst with the tinsel screen has been disappointing as film after film flopped at the box office. She even tried her hand in a Telugu film 'Sakhia' opposite Tarun, but again the movie failed.
She has also appeared in a TV serial 'Hip Hip Hooray', and made an appearance at the 'India Fashion Week 2007' as well as the 'Allen Solly Fashion Show' along with actress/TV hostess, Koel Purie.
She was amongst the top five competitors in the Level 2 of popular TV show 'Khatron Ke Khiladi' but after failing a stunt scene was unfortunately eliminated.
She did get noticed and appreciated in the 2006 English comedy 'Rockin' Meera' which was shot extensively in Rajasthan and California.
She is one of the few Parsi artistes in India - others include Boman Irani, Piloo Wadia, Kurush Deboo, Shenaz Treasurywala, Persis Khambatta, Perizaad Zorabian, Sohrab Modi, Ardeshir Irani.
When stressed out likes to swim or go for a walk on the beach. She also likes to watch TV serials like 'Friends', Hindi movies, and play badminton.
