Vitali Makarov
Born in Russia, Vitali Makarov spent 4 years in the Soviet Red Army before being accepted at the prestigious Moscow Arts Theater School, founded by Stanislavsky. Upon graduation he began an illustrious career on the stage, first in Russia and now in Canada where he performs in both French and English. In 1997 Vitali played the title role of Hamlet in an outstanding production that won the Montreal Critic's Award that year. He has been featured in a number of feature films both in Canada and the United States and is currently a regular cast member on the popular French television series, Les Poupees Russes. Vitali is married with 2 children and lives in Montreal. He is an avid scuba diver, downhill skier and horseback rider and also designs Russian saunas as a hobby.
