Ximena Sariñana
Ximena Sarinana is an actress, singer, songwriter producer from Mexico City. Born in Guadalajara to Director Producer Fernando Sarinana and Writer Carolina Rivera, she started acting at the age of 8 in musical theater in her hometown. When the family moved to Mexico City, Ximena did 3 lead roles in 3 Soap operas for Mexican TV network Televisa, and then began her career in film, doing a total of 11 films, including box office hits such as Amar Te Duele (2002) and Niñas Mal (2006) and internationally awarded films like Dos Abrazos (winner of the 2007 Tribeca Best New Narrative Filmmaker award). Ximena is also a Grammy award and Latin Grammy award nominee for her career in music. She has released two platinum selling albums under her name through Warner Music Group, as well as contributed to soundtracks of some of the movies she has participated in, not only as a performer (Amar Te Duele, Niñas Mal, Amor Extremo) but as a music supervisor as well (Enemigos Intimos). She has toured as a performing artist in the US, Europe, Latin America and Japan.
